New construction of a 5-group kindergarten in Eggersdorf – Competition 2022
In 2022, we won first place with our project in a competition held by the municipality of Amstetten.
A 5-group kindergarten is being built for the municipality, which meets the requirements of modern elementary education and also takes architectural and, last but not least, sustainability criteria into account. In addition to “child-friendly” architecture, a PV system will be installed, ecological building materials and products will be used, and modern technology will be incorporated. Particular emphasis is placed on the smooth transition between the exterior and interior spaces. The building, which is divided into elements, is designed to take the children’s perspective into account in a playful way. This architecture creates covered areas that provide protection from the sun and weather. The existing trees will be preserved as far as possible.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place in July 2023, and completion and handover to the client took place in fall 2024.
