Design concept for the construction of an office building in Zagreb, Croatia
Gobli architects & engineers were in charge of the design concept for MATRIX Zagreb in Croatia.
They developed two office buildings for GTC Croatia with a total area of ca. 40,000 m². The designs concepts comprise the garage design, the façade and building design as well as the interior design.
The building was designed according to the international sustainability criteria of LEED (Gold standard). In addition to office space, the overall design also included shops and restaurants.
The client intends to launch the buildings in 2019.
Advance Business Center Sofia
For GTC Bulgaria, one of the leading real estate developers in Central-Eastern Europe, Gobli architects & engineers designed a 30,000 m² Class A building. The building permits were already approved in 2017. Commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter 2019. The building will be certified according to LEED standards in the category Gold. Further expansion levels (Phase II) are already being processed.
Styrian Regional Health Insurance Company – branch office at Bruck an der Mur
In the course of a negotiated procedure, Gobli architects & engineers were commissioned with the general planning of the new branch office of the Styrian Regional Health Insurance Fund in Bruck an der Mur. The existing building was demolished. During the entire construction period, people were attended in a provisional outpatient clinic on the building site. The completed complex project was handed over to the client according to schedule in 2016.
New construction of a fire station with 3 parking spaces in the municipality of Krumegg (St. Marein near Graz)
For the voluntary fire brigade in Krumegg, Gobli architects & engineers designed a new operation center. In close cooperation with the squad, the municipality and the Province of Styria, they handed over an innovative, contemporary building that meets the requirements of the profession.
In addition to the garage and technical rooms, they built an operation room and several training, office and recreation facilities. Due to the plot and the associated soil-mechanics, extensive slope protection was a must. As part of an integral planning team, Gobli architects & engineers were responsible for planning, tendering and local construction supervision as well as the overall coordination. In a short construction period, thanks to the help of the staff’s colleagues and friends, the property was inaugurated in 2014.
Construction of a painting plant for Magna Steyr at the company site Slovenia
Gobli architects & engineers are the general planners for the construction of the paint shop of Magna Steyr, which is located in Slovenia. The challenge was to implement a complex industrial project within a very short planning and construction time. Construction work began in autumn 2017 and should be completed by the end of 2018.
The new building will be built in Hoce, very close to Maribor Airport.
Interior Design
The existing office and administrative premises of the paint shop at the Magna site in Graz were to a great extent revitalized and renovated by Gobli architects & engineers who attached the utmost importance to further sustainable and contemporary use of the building structures. Team and meeting rooms were developed, which were equipped with the latest technology and communication facilities
Magna hall extensions
For the Graz-based Magna Steyr branch several halls were added within a tight time frame.
Gobli architects & engineers were commissioned with the planning and the local construction supervision.
During the planning phase, tight instructions by the production department and challenges due to the local conditions on the already densely built-up area had to be mastered.
The challenge was not only the construction work in a confined space and during ongoing operation. Gobli architects & engineers had to fully guarantee the interaction between the halls and also the functioning of the technical supply chain to the adjacent halls at all time. The plant had to be able to be evacuated without any interferences.
Building of a transformer station
For Alstom, Gobli architects & engineers was responsible for the structural planning and construction of a transformer station at the wind farm in the municipality of Pottendorf in Lower Austria.
In addition to the construction of the actual transformer station, the main challenge of this project was the related needed expansion of the infrastructure. Separate access roads had to be built to transport the transformer. These services were also supervised and carried out by Gobli architects & engineers.

On behalf of the Steiermärkische Landesimmobilengesellschaft, Gobli architects & engineers supervised the local multilevel construction measures. Doing so, they mastered all the aspects regarding the protection of historical buildings as well as the complex task of implementing construction work during school and training hours.
